Pizza – Italian style!

In nz we put far too many toppings on our pizza. This is what we ate in Italy and it was so simple!

Ingredients:

Buy fresh…. Hand-made Turkish bread… 3 thin and crispy pizza bases (in the fridge department at the supermarket).

Fresh delmaine pasta sauce – I bought tomato and roasted garlic in a 325g pottle.

4 slices of bacon, chopped.

Mozzarella cheese, grated.

Pesto, blobs.

Method:

Heat oven to 200 degrees celsius.

Spoon on tomato mixture (not too thickly).

Add bacon and sprinkle mozzarella cheese then add 4 blobs of pesto!

Cook about 10 mins.

You can vary the toppings instead of pesto add sliced mushrooms, or anchovies. Or try a different meat, ham or chorizo.
