Tried and true apple crisp pudding

After eating a supermarket apple crisp recently, I thought I would dig out of the archives my mothers easy apple crisp recipe, which was oh so much better. It only takes a jiffy to make and is great on these cold winter evenings when everyone really enjoys a hot winter pudding.

5-6  cooking apples peeled and sliced

1 cup of flour

1/2 cup sugar

75 gms butter

Place sliced uncooked apples in an oven proof dish. In another bowl rub together butter, flour and sugar and put on top of the apple. Bake at 180 for 30 – 40 mins.

Serve with a dollop of greek yoghurt, or thickened cream, ( kids love ice cream.)
